Automatic preform design and optimization for aeroengine disk forgings

To ensure a more uniform forging distribution microstructure and improve the service performance of aeroengine disk parts, an automated preform design method is proposed for integrated shape optimization based on non-uniform rational B-spline (NURBS) curve, finite element method, genetic algorithm (GA). First, random graph automatically constructed by NURBS curve criterion. The volume complexity are used as constraints preform. Second, ratio mesh area within set strain range to total fitness function uniformity deformation, GA optimization. Finally, large example its optimal design. Results show that deformation forgings excellent, value high 99.59%, problems, such folding, underfilling, limited flash, do not exist, thereby verifying effectiveness method. In addition, has advantage strong universality, is, it can find with good any forgings.
